THREE CUSTOMIZED PROGRAMS AT TWO CONVENIENT LOCATIONS
West End Montessori is located in Edmonton's west end inside of the Holy Cross School (Académie Internationale - French Immersion) at 15120 - 104 Avenue. This location houses our 2 to 6 year-old full and half-day program offerings as well as out of school care for 6-10 year olds.
Highlands Montessori is located in the Edmonton, AB, suburb called Highlands which is eight minutes from downtown. Please contact us for the new location details.
OUR STAFF CREDENTIALS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
West End and Highlands staff are comprised of experienced early and elementary school educators. Many have Canadian Teaching Certificates and all have their Early Childhood Educators certifications from the Alberta Government. All our credentials are available on request including current first aid and vulnerable sector criminal checks. Each staff member brings many years of practical hands-on experience in preschool and elementary teaching. We are constantly upgrading our professional development in teaching from both current and seminal educator and human development experts. Examples of our training include Montessori, Constructivism, Experiential Learning tools in Social Emotional Learning (SEL) strategies and holistic self-regulation experts such as Conscious Discipline from Dr. Becky Bailey. In addition, we follow local experts such as Alberta Health Services for updates in healthy childhood development, brain science, behavioural modification techniques and educational scaffolding strategies.
We are also an early childhood training facility as well as the site of several privately-owned early childhood professional development research projects in publication.
